    Race Day Information

Special thanks to this years sponsors Melton Building Society, East Midlands Airport, Uppingham Foot Clinic, Upper Wreake Churches and Stream for supporting this year’s event and to Swithland Water for providing water on the day. We would also like to thank the Machin family, Frisby PTA committee and all volunteers involved in the day.

Race numbers

You can collect these on arrival, please remember safety pins! Race numbers will be available under the runner’s name.

These should be fastened to the front of your top and clearly visible when you cross the finishing line. [If you are an adult accompanying your child in Race 1, please make sure your adult race number is not visible in the children’s race and where possible do not enter the funnel at the finish line].

Please be there at least 30 mins before these start times to allow time for parking, collection of Race Numbers, etc.

Race 1

** As a reminder, children 6 yrs and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult whilst running.

However, please note that no child above the preschool age group can win a trophy if physically assisted by a parent/carer. This includes holding hands and/or carrying the child over streams or obstacles.

Clothing

No spikes please. A change of clothing is recommended for after the race as you willget wet and muddy!

Results & prize giving

Following each race, results will be made available shortly afterwards on boards near the refreshments. Collating of results is a manual process, so please be patient with us at this time and we ask that you give the timekeepers/recorders at the finish line space to record race results. If you have any queries towards the end of a run, please ask at the Race Number Collection point or at the finish line once the last runner of each Race has crossed the finish line. Please understand that we will respond to your query as best as we can but that our response cannot always be immediate as Races run in quick succession.

Results will also be available on the website a few days afterwards.

Prize giving will take place after the final race near or in the barn so please be available for this.

Affiliations

Can we remind you that if you are affiliated to a Running Club, please can you declare this on your entry form to ensure we can award prizes fairly and accurately. If you have neglected to add this to your entry form, please contact us via frisbyfunrun@gmail.com so that we can update your entry.

Facilities available.

Frisby PTA will be offering a selection of food, snacks and drinks to purchase. Toilet facilities will also be available. First Aid will be available on site during the Races.

 

New for this year

In an effort to be kinder to the environment and reduce the number of plastic disposable cups that are used, we ask that runners bring their water bottles which can be filled at our water table after their race. We thank you for your support with this.

 

PTA Raffle

This year the PTA will be selling raffle tickets – this boosts our fundraising efforts so please consider purchasing a ticket. We have had some fantastic prizes donated so keep an eye on our Facebook page for announcements.

 

Safety

Please remember this is a working farm and children must be supervised at all times when near farm equipment. You are also reminded that you run at your own risk and should only run if you are fit and able on the day.

The farm is located just off the A607 on the other side of the road to Rotherby. NB As this is a rural area, following this postcode with a SatNav may not get you there!
